These courses are del ivered by staff at Cheltenham International Language Centre (CILC) - our own British Council accredited English Language unit. Both courses include the following:
 
Listening and note taking

Reading, note taking and summarising

Presentations and communication skills

Writing essays and reports

Study skills

Pronunciation

Grammar and vocabulary development.
 
Successful completion of these courses will provide you with the range of English language skills to allow you to progress to the undergraduate programmes within The Business School.

For direct entry onto a degree programme, non-native speakers need an IHTS Level 6.0 or equivalent. Whilst studying on any of our information technology degrees, you may count advanced English language modules as credits towards your degree: these include courses on English for Business Management, Professional Writing, Essay and Report Writing.
 
International Student Support
We have a team of specialist tutors and advisers to support you during your course. They can help you with your academic studies, as well as help with personal welfare issues.
 
Specialist Degree
We also offer a degree designed for nonnative speakers of English. You can combine the study of computing with specialist English for business and technical purposes.
